Alberta province has released the details of its latest draw that occurred through Express Entry’s provincial nomination program.

The June 21 draw for Alberta province issued 262 Notifications of Interest (NOIs) to the Express Entry candidates with a cut-off score as low as 300.

The Alberta Express Entry Stream allows the Government of Alberta province to select eligible candidates with a profile in the federal Express Entry System, which basically manages the pool of candidates for Canada’s three Federal High Skilled Immigration programs – the Federal Skilled Trades Class, the Federal Worker Class, and Canadian Experience Class.

Express entry candidates who have received a provincial nomination from Alberta province gets additional 600 points towards their CRS score and are effectively guaranteed an ITA (invitation to apply) for Canadian Permanent Residence in a subsequent draw from the Express Entry pool.

One of the key advantages of Alberta province’s Express Entry Stream is that it provides an opportunity to Express Entry candidates who have low CRS scores to be privileged enough to obtain Canadian PR.
