Cut-off Score Drops by 5 Points in the New Express Entry Draw

New Express Entry draw held on June 12 issued 3,350 Invitations to Apply for Canadian Permanent Residence.

However, the highlight of today’s draw was the cut-off score which was 465; a drop of 5 points as compared to the previous draw’s minimum score which was 470.

Canada’s Express Entry system manages the pool of candidate for three of the economic class immigration categories – Federal Skilled Worker Class, Federal Skilled Trades Class, and Canadian Experience Class.

With this draw, IRCC now has issued a total of 38,450 Invitations to Apply to the Express Entry candidates in 2019. This is 6,250 invitations more than the invitations it had issued at the same time in the previous year.

Canada has set higher admission targets for the year 2019 and 2020 for the three immigration programs managed by the Express Entry system.
