On the latest May 1 Express Entry draw, the Government of Canada has issued 3,350 Invitations to Apply for Canadian Permanent Residence.

However, the highlight of the draw is that the cut-off score dropped to 450. It dropped one point as compared to the cut-off score in the previous April 17 draw.

Lastly, the cut-off score had dropped from 452 to 451 in the April 3 draw which was the third consecutive draw that witnessed a drop in the cut-off score. After that, the score remained constant as 451 in the April 17 draw. And it dropped again to 450 in the yesterday’s draw.

With this May 1 draw, the total number of Invitations to Apply issued to the Express Entry candidates in 2019 becomes 31, 250. This puts the current year 6,750 ITAs ahead of the number of ITAs issued during the same time in the previous year.

The tie-break that has been used by the IRCC in this draw was set on November 5, 2018, at 12:27:07 UTC. It means that the candidates who have submitted their profile in the Express Entry pool before this date and time have received an ITA in the May 1 draw.
