Ontario Invites 1,072 Candidates with Work Experience Through Its Human Capital Priorities Stream

The recent May 31 Express Entry draw through Ontario’s Human Capital Priorities Stream issued 1,072 invitations to apply for Canadian permanent residence to candidates with work experience in the 10 targeted occupations.

Comprehensive Ranking System score ranging from 439 to 469 and work experience in the targeted occupations were the required criteria among the other criteria for the candidate selection.

Ontario is home to both – Canada’s capital Ottawa and the largest city of the country Toronto and hence, it is a popular destination for the new permanent residents.

Like most Canadian provinces, Ontario also has a provincial nominee program through which it can nominate candidates for permanent residence based on its labor market needs.

Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program’s (OINP) Human Capital Priorities Stream allows the province to search the Federal Express Entry pool to invite candidates who meet the federal and provincial eligibility criteria to apply for Canadian PR.

Being invited to apply for the provincial nomination can be proved to be a piece of great news for an Express Entry candidate as a provincial nomination lends additional 600 points to the candidate’s Express Entry ranking score, almost ensuring an ITA for Canadian Permanent Residence.
