Saskatchewan Draw Targets Express Entry and Occupation In-Demand Candidates with Work Experience

A new draw from Saskatchewan’s International Skilled Worker class that was held on June 20 issued 479 invitations to the immigration candidates having work experience in one of the five targeted occupations.

The International Skilled Worker category is a part of SINP (Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program) which allows the province to nominate foreign workers for Canadian PR.

In the latest draw, the invitations went to Saskatchewan’s Occupation In-Demand and Express Entry sub-categories. However, having work experience was a mandatory eligibility criterion for the candidates invited under both these categories.

Candidates with work experience in the following five categories were targeted in this June 20 draw –

  • Accounting technicians
  • Bakers
  • Paramedical occupations
  • Architectural technologists and technicians
  • Medical laboratory technologists

Total 268 invitations out of the 479 went to the candidates with a profile in federal Express Entry system who also have a profile with the SINP. The remaining 211 invitations went to candidates in Occupation In-Demand sub-category.
