Canada is one of the most sought after destinations in the world for studies and that’s why every year more than 100,000 students move to Canada for higher studies. It is known to all and sundry that Canada has a vibrant culture and it offers infinite possibilities. Their universities are the best in the world and if you are thinking to move to Canada for study purposes, you need to follow a certain process. In this post, we will share with you the entire process to get a student visa in 2021.

Get your acceptance letter

First things first! You need to apply at a Canadian university and get your acceptance letter to get your student visa application process started. The best way out is to get in touch with a student visa consultant and understand how the entire process works in this regard. You will not need a study visa if:

  • You are a citizen of some other country, but your status is registered as ‘Indian’ in Canada.
  • You enroll for a study program of less than 6 months duration.
  • You are a staff member or family of a foreign representative in Canada accredited by DFA (Department of Foreign Affairs)
  • You belong to foreign armed forces under the Visiting Forces Act.

It is important to understand that the study permit doesn’t work as a regular visa. You will anyway need a travel visa. Again, to get this sorted, you must get in touch with an immigration consultant for Canada.
